Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love is trending on social media on Sunday, but not because he could potentially start next season.
He’s expected to be the backup after ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Packers are willing to go all-in for Rodgers.
That means that they’re willing to spend to the cap and spread it into future years as well.
This would be massive for the Packers as Rodgers won the NFL MVP award for the second straight season.
He finished with 37 touchdowns and four interceptions off 4,115 passing yards.
Green Bay is still searching for its first Super Bowl berth with Rodgers since 2011.
That year, the Packers took down the Steelers 31-25 to win their first and only Super Bowl thus far with Rodgers.
The NFL world on social media had some fun at Love’s expense after the Rodgers news came out.
Love appeared in six games this season and finished with two touchdowns and three interceptions on 411 passing yards.
