On Sunday morning, NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reported the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are “leaving the door open” for Tom Brady to return for the 2022 season.
However, if he decides to stay retired, the Buccaneers have contingency plans in place.
According to Rapoport, the team has done “extensive homework” on a potential Deshaun Watson trade
The team is also “expected to explore” a trade for Seattle Seahawks star quarterback Russell Wilson.
Fans immediately flocked to social media to react to the wild quarterback news.
At least one fan thinks the Buccaneers need to pull the trigger on a big quarterback trade.
“Now this is something the Buccaneers NEED to do.
Not sure how their cap situation looks, but Tampa Bay is an enticing place, thanks to Tom Brady,” one fan said.
“Bucs draft picks are too late in the first round and will continue to be late in the future. I have no interest,” the fan said.
